New York bagel 🥯 is out of this world!!!The perfect combination of chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of seasoning. Whether you like yours with cream cheese, lox, or just plain, you can't go wrong with a classic New York bagel. It's no wonder why they are famous all over the world!
We bought a dozen of these delicious bagels, cut them up and did a bagel tasting with the family. It was fun mixing and matching/creating the various combinations. Our favourite was the everything bagel with the chive cream cheese. We look forward to our next dozen bagels and trying some of the other sandwich combinations on the menu.

This is by far my favorite bagel spot. By far! My go to is the lox sandwich, but everything I've had is delicious. I love the everything bagel and the raisin with strawberry cream cheese. Also their corned beef and pastrami are top notch. Honestly pick a cream cheese. They are all good. If you get the chance this place is well worth the trip.

Damn that was GOOD! 🔥🔥🔥
Turkey Club sandwich was perfection!
NY Bagel is THE place for bagels in the region. Fresh and perfectly made, always. I’ve been coming here for decades and these are the only bagels I want. Always kind staff, great service. Great location. Lots of parking options.

New York Bagel reminds me of the best parts of my childhood in Ferndale.
In elementary school (RIP Washington), one day a week was bagel day. Despite not liking salt, I’d get the salt sticks because everyone else got them and they were cooler than traditional bagels.
In high school, I had an all-day band practice (fly high forever, Eagles!) that I recall being in the mid-late fall because it was quite cold outside. My mom surprised me by dropping off a bagel sandwich with turkey, coleslaw, and Russian dressing. She’s gone now, but whenever I walk into NY Bagel I think of my mom and the perfection of that sandwich.
I live in Chicago now, but any visit back to Ferndale involves a stop for the best bagels in the Detroit-area. Though I’m trying not to overstate it - these are the best bagels in the world. I’ve been to the bagel hotspots of the world, including NYC and Montreal, and nothing compares to these.
My personal favorite are the egg bagels, but they’re all amazing. If you’re in the area, go here.
