VEGAN REVieWTimE EXPRESS TODAY REPORT:
Alright! This place is alright! I've been here a couple times so now it's time to say some words about it. First of all, one of my pet peeves, they have that 'alternative' milk tax. And here it's a whole dollar! But the latte I got contained that sweet, sweet caffeine which is the most important part anyways. They have 'for here' cups which I appreciate. So maybe it almost kindof almost balances out, yes?
The people at the counter are awesome! I've dealt with three of them and they're all great. Also, one of them was rocking some Primus and I never realized how motivating they are. Thank you counter-fairies! The default options at the counter start at 18% though... I mean I'm not getting service... they're not pouring me overflowing cups of water... this is a $1.00-$2.00 default tip kind of thing. Is this a hot take? MAYBE. MAYBE I HAVE HOT TAKES. Maybe I'm on fire. Ok, whatever.
The food! They have a couple of sandwich option and I've tried both of them! They're also fairly expensive that come with chips or fries (the fries are a bonus charge). The hot tofu sandwich was slam-dunkin delicious. I enjoyed it thoroughly. The vegan philly lacked flavor. Very generous portion though. The fries themselves had some flavor dust on them that I thought was gooood. Thanks! Buuuuut, that vegan philly is $18, fries is another $4, with tip this is a $25 sandwich. I don't know what job you have but if you make minimum wage this is a 2-hour sandwich. I mean, Michigan minumum wage is supposedly around $12.50, APPROX. Just sayin....
The seating is pretty cool, plenty outside for the nice days and inside the art is cool and I like the lamps. Not enough plugs though if you're coming here to WORK N VIBE.
OVERALL it's alright. A bit too expensive to be a regular spot but if you live close it'll work for the occasional coffee sesh. Yeah, I said sesh, SO WHAT?!

The fries and pretzels were amazing. The pizza has a nice crisp to it and a spicy red sauce that was delicious!

Love at first sight! This is a bright, colorful cafe and brewery. Went here for a coffee, but ended up having an early lunch and a sour. I’m not a beer drinker but loved how helpful the bartenders were in sharing some recommendations for food and drink. Several beers & sours on tap and “fresh” canned drinks.” Ordered a beer, sour, the watermelon salad and spicy chicken sandwich with the best seasoned fries I’ve ever had. The salad was sweet and savory with roasted chickpeas; the chicken sandwich had a perfect spice and crisp to it.
I can see visiting by self, with friends or family. Lots of seating areas inside with a small play area, and outdoor areas on patio (covered and open).

One of the main reasons we love this restaurant is because it’s kid friendly, and offers a kids corner where our toddler can run around. Over this past year we’ve noticed the kids corner seems a bit neglected and not maintained. Then the food quality seemed to keep getting worse. Everything we’ve tried on the menu seemed greasy, and menu items we used to love are no longer available. And finally during our last visit, when we hoped to let our toddler play while we waited for our food, we were surprised to see a band setting up IN the kids corner the entire time we were there. At the time the vast majority of people in the restaurant all had children. Would it be possible to have the band set up at the front of the restaurant near the cafe? This location seems like a natural stage area for bands.
It seems like staff really underestimate the importance of this kids corner. But for many families, offerings like this become huge factors on deciding where to go out for a bite to eat. We would love to keep coming here, since it’s one of very few local restaurants that have a kids area. Please consider maintaining and prioritizing the kids corner a little more! It really won’t take much. And bringing back some healthy menu favorites would be greatly appreciated.
