Been wanting to try The Fly Trap for a long time but never get to Ferndale during the day. Until today. We got there around 12:30 and the place was hopping. Had the feeling most were regulars. I ordered the omelet with sour dough toast and my wife ordered the granola/yogurt with a bunch of other ingredients. My omelet was cooked perfectly and potatoes were delicious and piping hot as they should be. Toast often seems to arrive cold at restaurants but not here! Oh, and that house made apple/mango jam was the bomb. My wife is still taking about her lunch and can't wait to go back. Our waitress was super friendly and provided excellent service. Never had to ask for a coffee refill....she was right on it. Everything at surrounding tables looked great. Will try the breakfast burrito next visit. This place is really solid.

Came here for brunch and was not disappointed. Had the Moroccan chicken sandwich and the meat was so succulent it was incredible. Also had the mini muffin of the day and was also very tasty. It’s a lively joint and gets quite busy on the weekend.

A great diner with unique breakfast and brunch offerings as well as the classics. Homemade jam the rotates, specials called onto the board. And a full bar, their Bloody Mary had pickled celery with was sooo good.

The gingerbread waffle is to die for! If you enjoy those warm Fall spices you will love it! I'm vegan but my sister is not and we both equally enjoyed the waffle. My husband had the vegan tofu scramble which was also delicious. They have plant based milk for your coffee as well. Great service. Highly recommend this place for brunch for vegans or meat eaters alike. We'll def return for more! 🌱🙏

Fly Trap has been a staple in my community for years, but I was inspired to write a new review based on my past two visits. I noticed that there is a renewed joy and enthusiasm that really makes it stand out! The food is delicious, and a little quirky in the best way, but it's really the people that prompted me to give the 5 stars. The servers are very professional but super friendly and fun. The whole team seems to work together seemlessly even in tight quarters and they create a very enjoyable experience. Kudos to everyone involved! If you haven't been here for a while it's definitely time to come back. If you're coming on the weekend just pack some patience because there will be a line. Don't worry, it's worth the wait.
